Cebu City (May 9) – Amidst uncertainty whether the Enhanced Community Quarantine would be extended, and the continuing threat of COVID-19, the Archdiocese of Cebu continues to give aid to the communities, especially those who are greatly affected by the disease.

On Saturday, volunteers of Cebu Caritas Inc. and the church’s Commission on the Laity delivered relief goods to Sito Callejon in Labangon and to Sto. Niño Parish, Suba, Pasil.

In Sto. Niño Parish, items given were 50 sacks of rice, 10 boxes of beef loaf, and 1,000 pieces of face masks.

In Sitio Callejon, Labangon, 600 packs of goods were delivered each containing 3 kilos of rice, 4 canned goods, and 2 canned goods. 600 pieces of face masks were also given to the barangay officials.

A post from the Cebu Caritas Inc. Facebook page expresses a deep gratitude towards the donors who continue to support the local church’s relief operations, “…we are one with you, our fearless & cheerful givers of gifts and service, whose generous hearts are like that of God’s. We are grateful for your generosity that in effect produces selflessness in us. May we unceasingly spread God’s love through kindness.”
